Jessica Simpson

Jessica Ann Simpson (born July 10, 1980) is an American recording artist,  actress, television personality and fashion designer whose rise to fame began in 1999. Since that time, Simpson has achieved many recording milestones, starred in several television shows, movies and commercials, launched a line of hair and beauty products and designed fragrances, shoes and handbags for women. She has devoted time to philanthropic efforts including Operation Smile and a USO-hosted tour for troops stationed overseas. She started the Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005. She has achieved seven Billboard Top 40 hits, three gold and two multi-platinum Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified studio albums, four of which have reached the top 10 on the US Billboard 200. She has sold 30 million albums worldwide. Simpson starred with her then-husband Nick Lachey in the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. She ventured into the country music market in 2008 and released Do You Know. During the first part of 2010, Simpson released her second reality show on VH1 “The Price of Beauty.” In October 2010 she released her first compilation album and last album under the label of Epic Records, with the name Playlist: The Very Best of Jessica Simpson. A month later she released her second Christmas album Happy Christmas under the label Primary Wave Records, owned by EMI.

María Chacon

María Chacón (born María Fernanda Chacón Romo, July 10, 1991) is a Mexican actress, and singer, who gained fame after appearing in Codigo Fama. She was born in Baja California. She began her career in 2000, in television commercials and then in Codigo Fama. A Televisa Children’s program aimed at finding talent, leaving in seventh place out of 40 children. Since then has participated in several soap operas and television series, her first opportunity as an actress occurred in Alegrijes y Rebujos. In 2000, she was cast as one of the main characters in Alegrijes y Rebujos, a Mexican novela for children. Maria played Sofia “Chofis”, the lovable main character. She was then sent to the Athens 2004 Olympic Games by Televisa Niños, to drive segments directed at children. Returning she ventured into the children’s musical play “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” playing the main character of Becky Thatcher. She has had guest appearances in other soap operas like Misión S.O.S (2004) playing “Chany” as well as in Peregrina (2005) as the character of “Edith”. Also in the television series Mujer, Casos de la Vida Real (2006) as “Beatrice” a young girl who suffers abuse and child exploitation. She also participated in the comedy series “Que madre tan padre!” (2006), in the role of “Jessica Hernandez”, a nerdy teenager with psychological problems. In 2009 she currently works in the telenovela La Rosa de Guadalupe with other members of the band Grupo Play like Anhuar Escalante and Miguel Martinez. She participated in the musical show “La Tardeada de las Estrellas” which toured many major cities. The cast was made up, besides Maria, Miguel Martinez, Gladys Gallegos, Anhuar Escalante, Michelle Alvarez, Roxana Puente including all former participants in Código FAMA. She participated in the musical group Play, with their first album entitled “Días Que No Vuelven”.

Atsuko Maeda

Atsuko Maeda (前田 敦子 Maeda Atsuko?, born July 10, 1991 in Ichikawa, Chiba) is a member of the Japanese idol group AKB48. She is in Team A and one of the most prominent members in the group, being voted number one in the 2009 and 2011 Senbatsu Elections. In the 2010 Senbatsu Election, however, she lost to fellow member Yuko Oshima, who was the lead for their 17th Single: Heavy Rotation. She is part of the “Senbatsu” group which consists of AKB48 members that are featured in their most recent singles. On Sunday 25th March, 2012, she announced her retirement or ‘graduation’ from the group. AKB48 released “Aitakatta” on the major label Defstar Records. Before this release, two singles were released as independent records. For this song, 20 members were selected from the 36 members of Team A & Team K. Maeda was one of these selected members, and she performed a leading role in the promotional video of this song. She has appeared at the front of every single ever since. The group’s 12th single, “Namida Surprise!”, included voting tickets for the 2009 AKB48 Senbatsu Election, where fans can vote for who will be featured in the next single. Maeda won with 4630 votes, becoming AKB48’s most popular member and frontgirl for their 13th single, “Iiwake Maybe”. However, in 2010, another election was held and Maeda lost to Yuko Oshima, who had 31,448 votes, whereas Maeda had 30,851 votes, so Yuko became the frontgirl for “Heavy Rotation”. Later that year a different type of election was held (AKB48 Janken Senbatsu Tournament) where any member in the group could be front girl. The members were selected by using the rock-paper-scissors method and Mayumi Uchida received the top spot of AKB48’s single “Chance no Junban” which marked the first time a relatively unknown member has been at the front of a single. Maeda and Yuko were back at the front spots for the next single, “Beginner”. In 2011, a third AKB48 senbatsu election was held. During the early results, Yuko Oshima was leading with first place. However in the final results Maeda won first place with 139,892 votes whereas Yuko Oshima had 122,843 votes beating her with 17049 votes.  On 25th March 2012, during an AKB48 Concert at the Saitama Super Arena, Maeda announced that she will be graduating from AKB48 soon. Later, it’s been announced that Maeda will graduate right after AKB48’s Tokyo Dome 3-day concert that will take place between August 24, 2012 to August 26, 2012.

Larissa Antonia Marolt

Larissa-Antonia Marolt (born 10 July 1992 in St. Kanzian, Austria) is an Austrian fashion model. She was the winner of the first cycle of Austria’s Next Topmodel. After her victory she also participated in the fourth season of Germany’s Next Top Model, where she was placed eighth. At the age of 16, Marolt auditioned for Austria’s Next Top Model, where she was chosen as one of the ten girls to appear on the TV show. In the last episode she was declared winner of the title “Austria’s Next Topmodel”. The prize included a contract with the modelling agency Wiener Models, an appearance on the cover of the Austrian Magazine Miss in February 2008, a contract as the face of the next advertising campaign for Swarovski Crystallized and a participation in Germany’s Next Topmodel by Heidi Klum, making her the second (After Andrea Akmazdic from Croatia and Bosnia) contestant worldwide to appear on two different Top Model shows. Despite being a former winner and the audience’s favourite, Marolt failed to garner the sympathy of her fellow contestants, which resulted in her isolation from the group.[3] After her participation in the two shows, she walked the runway in the Amber Fashion Show[4] and the Vienna Life Ball in 2009. She also landed the covers of several Austrian magazines such as Madonna or Live. In early 2010 Marolt participated in a spin-off show from Germany’s Next Top Model based on the US reality series Modelville called Die Model WG. Despite getting booked for a runway show in the first episode Marolt decided to quit in Episode 2 in favour of school where she was busy with the preparation of her exams for her upcoming A-Level which she has passed.

Kiely Alexis Williams

 

Kiely Alexis Williams (born July 9, 1986) is an American singer, actress, songwriter and dancer. She is best known for being a member of former girl groups 3LW and The Cheetah Girls. In 1999, Williams along with Adrienne Bailon, and Naturi Naughton formed the girl group 3LW. The initial formation of the 3LW was pulled together by Michelle Williams, also known as Mici Williams, older sister and guardian of Kiely. Williams has three younger brothers, Carl Verna (born 1990) and Chris Williams (born 1995) and Darrin Williams (born 1996). 3LW released their first single “No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)” in fall 2000, which became a top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. And the album’s next single “Playas Gon’ Play” which was released in early 2001. Their debut album, released in 2000, went Platinum. In 2001, Kiely also played herself in an episode of The Jersey, where she switched bodies with a boy. In the summer of 2002, Naughton left the group. The Cheetah Girls began work on their debut album in January 2006. However, when filming and recording for The Cheetah Girls 2 came up, the album was put on hold. In an interview with Billboard about the postponed album, Sabrina Bryan stated that the girls worked on writing for the album on their Party’s Just Begun tour and that they hoped to gather an audience of older fans while simultaneously staying true to their younger fan base. Bryan also stated that the girls would work with producers they have worked with in the past as well as exploring new producers, such as Timbaland. The album was originally titled Who We Are, and set to be released on June 19, 2007 but this was postponed to September 25, 2007, with a release name of TCG. The track “So Bring It On” was released as the album’s first single. “Fuego” was released as the second single from the album. The Girls recorded their own version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” for the holiday compilation album, A Disney Channel Holiday, which was released on October 16, 2007. During the summer of 2008, Williams began quietly working on a solo singing project separate from work in her girl group The Cheetah Girls. She filmed the music video for her first single “Make Me a Drink” in New York City in November 2008.  In August 2009, a preview of Williams’ debut solo “Make Me a Drink” (which was written by Young Money recording artist Shanell, who has also written for Lil Wayne’s upcoming record) appeared on YouTube, “Make Me A Drink” has never been released. She completed a starring role in the independent film Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale and is slated to star in The Science of Cool, another independent feature. In late 2009, Kiely began work on Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming. The role of Kandi Kane, in Elle, required Kiely to record several songs for the film and the accompanying soundtrack and learn extensive choreography. Stomp the Yard 2 and Elle were both released in 2010. Williams and former Cheetah Girl band-mate and close friend Sabrina Bryan are also collaborating on a talk show which Williams described as “a young version of The View“.

Shelton James Benjamin

Shelton James Benjamin (born July 9, 1975) is an American professional wrestler and former amateur wrestler best known for his tenure in World Wrestling Entertainment. Benjamin has an amateur wrestling background, including wrestling in high school and at the University of Minnesota. In addition, Benjamin has acted as an assistant coach in amateur wrestling. He first spent time in Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he held the Southern Tag Team Championship four times. WWE then moved him to the main roster and put him into an alliance with Kurt Angle and Charlie Haas, known as Team Angle (and later the World’s Greatest Tag Team). During his tenure with the company, he won the Intercontinental Championship three times, the United States Championship once, and the WWE Tag Team Championship twice with Haas. He currently wrestles for Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is one half of the World Tag Team Champions with Charlie Haas. On September 11, 2010, at Glory By Honor IX, Benjamin and Charlie Haas made their Ring of Honor debuts in a match, where they were defeated by The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli). Benjamin and Haas returned to ROH at the Ring of Honor Wrestling television tapings on December 9, where they defeated the Bravado Brothers.  The following day, at the second set of television tapings, they defeated the All-Night Express of Kenny King and Rhett Titus, and participated in an eight-man tag team match, teaming with the Briscoe Brothers against the Kings of Wrestling and the All-Night Xpress, which ended in a no contest. On December 18 at the Final Battle 2010 pay-per-view Benjamin and Haas announced that in 2011 they would be wrestling regularly for Ring of Honor.  At the following pay-per-view, 9th Anniversary Show, on February 26, 2011, Benjamin and Haas defeated the Briscoe Brothers in the main event of the evening to earn another shot at the Kings of Wrestling and theROH World Tag Team Championship.  On April 1 at Honor Takes Center Stage, Benjamin and Haas defeated the Kings of Wrestling for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.  On June 26 at Best in the World 2011, Benjamin and Haas successfully defended the ROH World Tag Team Championship in a four-way match against the Briscoe Brothers, the Kings of Wrestling and the All-Night Express.  The following day ROH announced that both Benjamin and Haas had signed contracts with the promotion.  On December 23, at Final Battle 2011, Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team lost the ROH World Tag Team Championship to the Briscoe Brothers.  On May 12, 2012, at Border Wars, Benjamin and Haas regained the ROH World Tag Team Championship from the Briscoe Brothers. On June 24 at Best in the World 2012, Benjamin and Haas lost the title to Kenny King and Rhett Titus. On December 9, 2011, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Benjamin would be joining MVP for a tag match against Masato Tanaka and Yujiro Takahashi at Wrestle Kingdom VI in Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2012. Benjamin and MVP were victorious in the match, after MVP submitted Takahashi. Benjamin returned to New Japan on June 16 at Dominion 6.16, where he and MVP defeated Karl Anderson and Tama Tonga in a tag team match, with Benjamin pinning Tonga for the win.

Jack White

Jack White (John Anthony Gillis; born July 9, 1975), often credited as Jack White III, is an American musician, songwriter, record producer and occasional actor. He was best known as the guitarist, pianist and lead vocalist of The White Stripes until they split in February 2011, as well as a member of The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

He is ranked #70 on Rolling Stone’s list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”. White’s popular and critical success with The White Stripes enabled him to collaborate as a solo artist with other renowned musicians, such as Beck, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Alicia Keys, Bob Dylan, Electric Six, Insane Clown Posse, and Loretta Lynn, whose 2004 album Van Lear Rose he produced and performed on.

In 2005, White became a founding member of the rock band The Raconteurs. In 2009, he became a founding member and drummer of his third commercially successful group, The Dead Weather. He was awarded the title of “Nashville Music City Ambassador” by the Nashville mayor Karl Dean in 2011.   White is set to release his debut solo album Blunderbuss on April 24, 2012.

Ella Koon

Ella Koon Yun-na is Hong Kong-based Cantopop singer, actress and model. She is French by citizenship. After completing her studies in England, Koon returned to Hong Kong in 2000 where she began her modeling career for various magazines, advertisements and commercials. Modelling became her full time profession from then on, and in 2001, she landed her first movie role in “I Do”. After the movie, she continued modelling; then in 2004 she was invited to attend a singing audition. The audition landed her a contract with Boombeat Music and launched her singing career.  Her first few albums – “Original”, “Ellacadabra” (2005), “Lose Sanity” (2006) and the EP “Stages” (2008) were not particularly acclaimed. But as a singer on The Voice (超級巨聲) singing Endless Love she impressed audiences and further propelled her singing career. Koon also starred in the popular TVB’s drama series “Revolving Door of Vengeance” in 2005 and “Survivor’s Law II ” in 2007. Viewers instantly fell in love with both of her characters on the shows. In “Revolving Door of Vengeance” she play “Hoi Sum” (meaning ‘happy’ in Cantonese) a carefree and happy-go-lucky girl. In “Survivor’s Law II,” she won the audience again with her character as “Lily” the sassy and stylish lawyer who could hold her own in the courtroom. Besides the drama series, Koon has been invited as a guest to several TVB games shows and was a host a for two food travel shows with notable Hong Kong Chefs. Indeed, her most recent work with Kelvin Pan (Pan Kai Tai) has boosted her into the pinnacle of Hong Kong entertainment business. “I Do” was just the first of many movies Koon appeared and started in. She also landed roles in movies such as My Sweetie (甜絲絲, 2004), Drink, Drank, Drunk (千杯不醉, 2005), Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (冰河世紀二, 2006), The Shopaholics (最愛女人購物狂, 2006), Without Words (地老天荒, 2006), Undercover Hidden Dragon (至尊無賴, 2006), Arthur and the Minimoys (迷你魔界大冒險, 2007), Muddy but Pure White (泥巴色的純白, 2008), Playboy Cops (花花型警, 2008), Look for a Star (游龍戲鳳, 2008), Short of Love (矮仔多情, 2009) and Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (冰河世紀三, 2009). She Played the role of Merry in the Clement Cheng movie ‘Merry-go-round’ (2010) in which her talent expresses perfectly.

Ashly DelGrosso-Costa

Ashly DelGrosso-Costa (born July 9, 1982, Denver, Colorado), known professionally as Ashly Costa, is a professional dancer from Highland, Utah who starred on the ABC television series Dancing with the Stars for the first three seasons and returned March 22, 2010 for season 10 (partner was Buzz Aldrin). With Jonathan Gulledge, amateur dance partner, DelGrosso has won several Amateur Ten Dance titles. She partnered professionally with Rick Robinson- her coach from the age of eleven, on the professional Latin circuit before retiring shortly before Dancing with the Stars. In 2006, DelGrosso guest starred on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as Lori, one of the character’s dance partner. She is part of a DVD titled Dancing With The Stars: Cardio Dance along with Kym Johnson and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Mitchel Tate Musso

Mitchel Tate Musso (born July 9, 1991) is an American actor, singer-songwriter and musician. Musso is best known for his two Disney Channel roles as Oliver Oken in the Disney Channel sitcom, Hannah Montana, Jeremy Johnson in the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. He was also the host of Disney Channel’s latest reality series, PrankStars. In some of his other works, he provided his voice of DJ for the computer animated/motion capture film, Monster House and also starred as Raymond Figg in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Life Is Ruff, released in 2005. Musso’s self-titled debut album was released on June 2, 2009 on Walt Disney Records. The album debuted at number 19 on the Billboard 200. 2007 and 2008. He also appeared in the TV movie Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire alongside Chuck Norris and Selena Gomez. On June 2, 2008, Musso was a surprise guest at the Spotlight Awards at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts. He presented awards to the Best Actor and Best Actress of the 2007–2008 theatrical year. In 2008 Musso, Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus all made “family” guest appearances in Metro Station’s music video for Seventeen Forever. In late 2009, Musso was cast, along side The Suite Life on Deck and House of Payne’s Doc Shaw, in a new television series for Disney XD titled Pair of Kings. The series began production in March 2010, following the production of the final season of Hannah Montana in which Musso does not star in this season he will only be a guest. The series premiered on September 10, 2010. It was announced that Musso would be the host of Disney Channel’s latest hidden camera reality series, PrankStars, which premiered on July 15, 2011. On December 12, 2011, Disney XD renewed the series Pair of Kings for a third season. Musso will not return for the new season, and is instead being replaced by a new character played by Adam Hicks. PrankStars ended in 2011 due to his DUI. He will remain as the voice of Jeremy Johnson on Phineas and Ferb. Musso sang a remixed remake of the song “Lean on Me” for the Disney film, Snow Buddies; the music video is included on the DVD and the song is included on the Radio Disney Jams, Vol. 10 CD. Musso also sang the song “If I Didn’t Have You” with Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment for the DisneyMania 6 CD in 2008 and sang the song Stand Out for the Disneymania 7 CD in 2010. For their 2009Disney Channel Original Movie, Hatching Pete, Musso teamed up with co-star Tiffany Thornton, from Sonny with a Chance, to record a song called “Let It Go” that was used in the film. The two also worked on a music video for the song which was released to Disney Channel.   Musso also recorded a song called “The Girl Can’t Help It” for another Disney Channel Original Movie, Princess Protection Program. “Let it Go” and “The Girl Can’t Help It” was featured on the Disney compilation album, Disney Channel Playlist, which was released on June 23, 2008. And sang “Live like Kings” on Disney XD’s Pair of Kings on Disney Channel.
