Samuel Jackson

Samuel Leroy Jackson (born December 21, 1948) is an American film and television actor and film producer. After Jackson became involved with the Civil Rights Movement, he moved on to acting in theater at Morehouse College, and then films. He had several small roles such as in the film Goodfellas, Def by Temptation, before meeting his mentor, Morgan Freeman, and the director Spike Lee. After gaining critical acclaim for his role in Jungle Fever in 1991, he appeared in films such as Patriot Games, Amos & Andrew, True Romance and Jurassic Park. In 1994 he was cast as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction, and his performance received several award nominations and critical acclaim. Jackson has since appeared in over 100 films including Die Hard with a Vengeance, The 51st State, Jackie Brown, Unbreakable, The Incredibles, Black Snake Moan, Shaft, Snakes on a Plane, as well as the Star Wars prequel trilogy and small roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Inglourious Basterds. He played Nick Fury in Iron Man and Iron Man 2, Thor, the first two of a nine-film commitment as the character for the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. Jackson’s many roles have made him one of the highest grossing actors at the box office. Jackson has won multiple awards throughout his career and has been portrayed in various forms of media including films, television series, and songs. In 1980, Jackson married LaTanya Richardson, with whom he has one daughter, Zoe. Throughout the 1990s, A.C. Neilson E.C.I., a box office tracking company, determined that Jackson appeared in more films than any other actor which grossing $1.7 billion domestically. For all the films in his career, where he is featured as a leading actor or supporting co-star, his films have grossed a total of $2.81to $4.91 billion at the North American box office, placing him as the seventh (as strictly lead) or the second highest-grossing movie star (counting supporting roles) of all time; behind only that of voice actor Frank Welker. In August 2007, Jackson stated in an interview that he wanted to play a small role in George Lucas’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull so that he could keep his box office position over Harrison Ford. The 2009 edition of The Guinness World Records, which uses a different calculation to determine film grosses, stated that Jackson is the world’s highest grossing actor, having earned $7.42 billion in 68 films.

Kellie Dawn Pickler

Kellie Dawn Pickler (born June 28, 1986) is an American country music artist and television personality. She gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of the Fox reality show American Idol, eventually finishing in sixth place. In 2006, she signed to 19 Recordings and BNA Records as a recording artist, releasing her debut album, Small Town Girl, later that year. To date, it has sold over 800,000 copies. The album, which was certified gold by the RIAA, produced three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: “Red High Heels” at number fifteen, “I Wonder” at number fourteen, and “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind” at number sixteen. She released her self-titled second album in Fall 2008 and has produced the singles “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful” at number twenty-one, “Best Days of Your Life” at number nine (which she co-wrote with Taylor Swift and her first Top 10 hit), “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You” at number fourteen, and “Makin’ Me Fall in Love Again” at number thirty. In 2012, she was ranked as the 14th best American Idol alumna.

Ha Ji-won

Ha Ji-won (Hangul: 하지원, Hanja 河智媛) was born Jeon Hae-rim (Hangul: 전해림, Hanja: 田海林) on 28 June 1979. She is a South Korean actress. She is also the Grand Prize (Hangul: 대상) winner of 2006 KBS Acting Awards for her performance in TV drama Hwang Jin-i. Ha Ji-won is one of Korean cinema’s top actresses. She is also noted for her versatility as an actress. She started her career playing supporting roles in television productions. In 2002, Ha Ji-won had her breakthrough role as the lead in the horror film Phone, earning her a best actress nomination at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. Since then she has gone on to make films like the Sex Is Zero, Reversal of Fortune, 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant and more recently Sector 7. She has also starred in the movie Haeundae.   Ha has also starred in the TV series Something Happened in Bali in early 2004, co-starring Jo In Sung and So Ji-sub. In that project, she played tour guide Lee Soo-jeong, who consequently attracted two men whom she did not like. She won a Baek-Sang Best Actress Award for her performance in this drama. In 2010, she starred as Gil Ra Im in the fantasy drama, Secret Garden. In 2011, she starred in Sector 7, South Korea’s first 3D IMAX film, which has broken the year’s box office records since its opening on 4 August. Kathryn Felicia Day

  Kathryn Felicia Day (born June 28, 1979) is an American actress and writer. She may be best-known for her work as “Vi” on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and for parts in movies such as Bring It On Again and June, as well as the Internet musical, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. She is also the star, script writer and producer of the original web series The Guild, a show loosely based on her life as a gamer. She also starred in the Dragon Age web series Dragon Age: Redemption, which she wrote. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Web Television. Day is the creator, writer, and star of The Guild, a web series which started airing its fifth season in July 2011. The first season was primarily hosted on YouTube where it garnered millions of views. Its second season premiered on Microsoft’s three major video channels Xbox Live, MSN Video and The Zune Marketplace after Microsoft made a deal with The Guild, allowing Day, her cast, and her crew to be paid for their work. Day also created a song and music video called “(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar”, featuring the cast dressed up as their in-game personae. The final moments of the music video itself also detailed that the release date for the 3rd season of Day’s The Guild would be August 25, 2009. A second song and video “Game On” was released prior to the premiere of the 4th season of The Guild. The Guild has won multiple awards, including the Greenlight Award for Best Original Digital Series Production at the South by Southwestfestivals, the YouTube Video Award for Best Series,  the Yahoo! Video Award for Best Series,  and 2009 Streamy Awards for Best Comedy Web Series, Best Female Actor in a Comedy Web Series, and Best Ensemble Cast in a Web Series.

Maui Taylor

  Maui Taylor at the Internet Movie Database Maui Taylor (born Maureen Anne Rodriguez Tupaz on June 28, 1983) is a Filipino-English model, singer, and actress. Taylor initially got into show biz with the assistance of a cousin who was a member of a dance group in the Philippines. She was eventually cast on the Filipino TV soap opera Anna Karenina at the age of 14. This led to other roles in various TV shows as well as cinema. Taylor appeared on the cover of the April 2002 issue of FHM (Philippine edition). She appeared in her first starring role in the movie Gamitan, which grossed almost P70 million in the local box office. Maui Taylor had early movie appearances in films such as Tatarin and S2pid Luv, both from Viva Films. In 2002, when she got her first starring role in Gamitan. Also in 2002, Taylor appeared in the film Hibla In April 2003, she co-starred in the sex comedy Sex Drive. For her next movie was titled Ang Huling Birhen Sa Lupa (international title: The Last Virgin). Taylor gained her first acting nomination with the film, for Best Actress which went to her co-star Ara Mina. Later in 2003, she starred Viva’s films Masamang Ugat and Bugbog Sarado as well as a music video collection called Sex Goddess. Maui graduated as Summa Cum Laude in STI with a degree in computer programming, a two-year course.

Lacey-Mae Schwimmer

Lacey Schwimmer is an American competitive ballroom dancer, singer, and the winner of multiple youth championships. She is best known as the fourth place finalist of the third season of So You Think You Can Dance. She is the daughter of noted dancer Buddy Schwimmer, as well as the cousin of Heidi Groskreutz, who placed fourth on the second season of So You Think You Can Dance. She is also the sister of Benji Schwimmer, the winner of the second season of So You Think You Can Dance. She participated in theseventh season of Dancing with the Stars as a professional dancer paired with Lance Bass of ‘N Sync, in the eighth season of the show paired with Jackass star Steve-O and in the ninth season paired with actor and Iron Chef America host Mark Dacascos. Schwimmer returned to Dancing with the Stars for its eleventh season and she was partnered with Disney Channel star, Kyle Massey and in the 12th season she was paired with radio host Mike Catherwood. In the thirteenth season, she was paired with transgender activist Chaz Bono. Lacey will not be returning for season 14 of Dancing With The Stars to focus on other aspects of her career. Schwimmer describes her dance style as West Coast Swing and International Latin.  She made an appearance in Jon Chu and Adam Sevani’s “Biggest Online Dance Battle” against M&M Cru and was credited as a member of America’s Best Dance Crew with Hok, another So You Think You Can Dance competitor. She’s made television appearances on The Ellen Degeneres ShowGood Morning America, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. In 2008 she danced alongside Adam Sandler at the MTV Movie Awards 2008. She then appeared in the video of the song Rainbow, by Elisa with singer songwriter Vinnie Ferra. She is a part of the iHollywood Dance faculty teaching master classes in the United States and Norway. Seo Joo-hyun, Seo hyun

  Seo Joo-hyun (born June 28, 1991), who uses the stage name Seohyun, is a South Korean idol singer, dancer, actress, andspokesmodel. She is the maknae, or youngest member, of the girl group Girls’ Generation.  She was appointed by the Seoul Metropolitan Office as their goodwill ambassador for student fitness. Also, Seohyun was appointed as one of the UNICEF envoys on the 11th at Changseong-Dong, Seoul. This is a notable feat, as only those who have a respectable reputation are appointed as goodwill representatives.  On May 2012, Seohyun was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN 2012 Yeosu Expo. Seohyun was casted by SM Entertainment in 2003. In 2007, she was chosen as a member of the group Girls’ Generation. The 9-member girl group debuted on August 5, 2007. SM Town released the Girls Generation Subunit Album with song title, “Twinkle” and the artists are Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun. The full-audio of the “Twinkle” album was made available on iTunes on April 29, 2012 and the MV was released on April 30, 2012 On February 17, 2009, Seohyun sang a duet with trot Joo Hyun-mi (feat. Davichi) called “JjaRaJaJja” (Korean: “짜라자짜”).  The song earned a nomination from the 2009 M.net Asian Music Awards for Trot Music of the Year. She sang the song “S.E.O.U.L.” with Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Sungmin and Donghae and fellow Girls’ Generation membersTaeyeon, Jessica, Sooyoung and Sunny. Super Junior’s Siwon, Leeteuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk and Yesung also appeared in the music video uploaded in SM entertainment’s Youtube account. She also sang the song for Caribbean Bay with her fellow members Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny with 2PM; featured with Yoona,Yuri, and 2PM in the music video. On February 13, 2012, Seohyun and Brown Eyes’ singer Yoon Gun released a duet called “Don’t Say No” On April 16, 2012, Seohyun sang for the part 3 of the OST of the SBS drama entitled Fashion King, starring fellow Girls’ Generation member Kwon Yuri with the song entitled “I’ll Be Waiting”.

Rocío Guirao Díaz

Rocío Guirao Díaz (born June 27, 1984, in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine fashion model from Muse Management. As a model she worked for high fashion brands like Everlast, Prestige, Tabatha, Sigry, Naffta, Fes Jeans, VOV Jeans, Saverio Di Ricci, Kees Von Kees and others. In 2007 Rocío danced in the successful TV program Bailando por un sueño (the Argentine version of Dancing with the Stars) and hosted a TV program on cars called The Garage. In 2009 Rocío danced again in Showmatch as part of “El Musical De Tus Sueños” where she finished third. In 2010 she starred in Pour La Gallery, a play by Anibal Pachano. In May 2011 Rocío was again a contestant in Bailando por un Sueño, during its seventh season. In Round 5, she suffered a relapse during the duel in which she was sentenced, falling after a trick. The jury decided that she was going to be on the public vote, as others couples in the same position in the past seasons, were part of the public vote too. After the accident, she also returned to the competition for the sixth round, but then, due to personal problems, withdrew the competition.

Drake Bell

Jared Drake Bell (born June 27, 1986), better known as Drake Bell, is an American actor, comedian, musician, singer-songwriter, record producer, and occasional television director. After beginning his career as a child star in the late 1990s and early 2000s (decade), he appeared on The Amanda Show and became well-known among young audiences for his role on the series Drake & Josh while playing Drake Parker. As of 2010, Drake Bell remains one of Nickelodeon’s most popular stars ever and has won nine Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. His latest film role is the movie Rags, on Nickelodeon; he is also the voice of Peter Parker / Spider-Man in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD. Bell is commonly associated with his real-life friend Josh Peck, who co-starred with him in The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh. In addition to acting, Bell has a growing career as a musician, and co-wrote and performed the theme song to Drake & Josh, entitled “I Found a Way”. In 2005 he independently released his debut album, Telegraph. His second album, It’s Only Time, was released in 2006 after signing with Universal Motown Records.

Edward Jack P. "Ed" Westwick

 

Edward Jack P. “Ed” Westwick(born 27 June 1987) is an English actor and musician who is best known for his role as Chuck Bass on the CW television drama Gossip Girl. In 2007, he was cast in The CW’s teen drama series Gossip Girl as Chuck Bass. As a result of the show’s success, he was named one of 2008’s Sexiest Men Alive by People magazine, appeared the following year on its “100 Most Beautiful” list with the whole cast of Gossip Girl, earned two awards in 2008 and 2009 for Best TV Villain at the Teen Choice Awards, and was named Breakthrough Talent byGQ in 2010.  Entertainment Weekly also named Westwick’s character Chuck Bass number one in their “Best Dressed TV characters of 2008” list (tied with Leighton Meester’s character Blair Waldorf), as well as in their “Best Performances” list alongside co-star Meester. In 2008, Westwick became the new face of K-Swiss, making him the second member of the Gossip Girl cast to endorse sportswear (Leighton Meester endorsed Reebok)[10] and appeared in the horror film 100 Feet.
