Yegor Ilyich Titov

Yegor Ilyich Titov (Russian: Егор Ильич Титов) (born May 29, 1976 in Moscow) is a retired association footballer who played midfielder, who last played for Lokomotiv Astana. He was a goal scoring midfielder playing in “the hole” between the midfield and attack. He was well known for his vision, close control and accurate passing. Other than that he was a renowned set-piece taker and is well known for his temperament.

Titov spent the majority of his club career at Spartak Moscow, starting in 1995, helping them to six consecutive league titles, and winning Russian Player of the Year in 1998 and 2000. He played for Russia at the 2002 World Cup and has amassed over 30 caps for his country. After a Euro 2004 playoff against Wales he was tested positive for the banned substance bromantan and received a 12-month suspension. Later, former Spartak players Maksim Demenko and Vladyslav Vashchuk along with physio Artyom Katulin blamed Katulin’s assistant Anatoly Schukin, who allegedly acted on behalf of manager Andrey Chernyshov. In 2008, Titov had made similar statemens in his interview to Soviet Sports.  After the ban, he has continued playing for Spartak and has been a major figure for the club when Spartak managed to finish 2nd in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons, thus qualifying for the Champions League.

In 2002, Titov was reportedly close to a move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid, but eventually decided against joining the Spanish outfit.

Titov, who was just several years ago was considered one of Russia’s key players stopped playing for the team when he refused to be called up for a Euro 2008 qualifying match against Estonia, saying the reason was because his wife was pregnant and he wants to spend more time with her.

Due to several factors, including a recent severe loss of form and conflicts with Spartak Moscow’s manager, Titov became unsettled and, in August 2008, left to join FC Khimki.

In the beginning of 2009, Yegor signed with the newly formed club Lokomotiv Astana. He joined the Kazakh side with his former teammate Andrey Tikhonov.

Jürgen Klinsmann

Jürgen Klinsmann (born 30 July 1964 in Göppingen) is a German football manager and former player who is currently the coach of the United States Men’s National Team. As a player, Klinsmann played for several prominent clubs in Europe and was part of the West German team that won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the German one that won the 1996 UEFA European Championship. One of West Germany’s/Germany’s premier strikers during the 1990s, Klinsmann scored in all six major international tournaments he participated, from Euro 1988 to 1998 World Cup.
He managed the German national team to a third-place finish in the 2006 World Cup. On 12 July 2006, Klinsmann officially announced that he would step down as Germany’s coach after two years in charge and be replaced by assistant coach Joachim Löw.

He took over as coach of Bayern Munich in July 2008, when Ottmar Hitzfeld stepped down to take over as the head coach of the Swiss National Team. On 27 April 2009 he was released early, even though he had won five of the previous seven league games and was only three points behind league leader VfL Wolfsburg. In the jointly initiated reforms at Bayern it emerged there was a severe clash of opinions between coach and club management.
On 29 July 2011, after years of speculation and protracted negotiations with the US Soccer Federation, Klinsmann was named coach of the USMNT after coach Bob Bradley was released

    María Eva Duarte de Perón

María Eva Duarte de Perón (Spanish pronunciation: [maˈɾi.a ˈeβa ˈðwarte ðe peˈɾon]; 7 May 1919 – 26 July 1952) was the second wife of President Juan Perón (1895–1974) and served as the First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death in 1952. She is often referred to as simply Eva Perón, or by the affectionate Spanish language diminutive Evita.

She was born out of wedlock in the village of Los Toldos in rural Argentina in 1919, the fourth of five children. In 1934, at the age of 15, she went to the nation’s capital of Buenos Aires, where she pursued a career as a stage, radio, and film actress. Eva met Colonel Juan Perón on January 22, 1944, in Buenos Aires during a charity event at the Luna Park Stadium to benefit the victims of an earthquake in San Juan, Argentina. The two were married the following year. In 1946, Juan Perón was elected President of Argentina. Over the course of the next six years, Eva Perón became powerful within the pro-Peronist trade unions, primarily for speaking on behalf of labor rights. She also ran the Ministries of Labor and Health, founded and ran the charitable Eva Perón Foundation, championed women’s suffrage in Argentina, and founded and ran the nation’s first large-scale female political party, the Female Peronist Party.

In 1951, Eva Perón renounced the Peronist nomination for the office of Vice President of Argentina. In this bid, she received great support from the Peronist political base, low-income and working class Argentines who were referred to as descamisados or “shirtless ones”. However, opposition from the nation’s military and bourgeoisie, coupled with her declining health, ultimately forced her to withdraw her candidacy. In 1952 shortly before her death from cancer at the age of 33, Eva Perón was given the official title of “Spiritual Leader of the Nation” by the Argentine Congress. Eva Perón was given an official state funeral despite the fact that she was not an elected head of state.

Evita embraces Perón during the 1951 joint ticket rally, unable to accept popular calls that she run for Vice-President.

Eva Perón has become a part of international popular culture, most famously as the subject of the musical Evita.Cristina Alvarez Rodriguez, Evita’s great niece, claims that Evita has never left the collective consciousness of Argentines. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the first female elected President of Argentina, claims that women of her generation owe a debt to Eva for “her example of passion and combativeness”.
